Brighouse Circuit Race – 10th June 2008

After the success of the 2007 event, Dews Motor Group are again proud to be the main sponsor of the 2008 Brighouse Circuit Race. Taking place on the 10th June, Dews would like to encourage all of our customers to enjoy an evening trackside at what is fast becoming a landmark event in the British Cycle Racing Calendar, an event which we hope will also help promote the name and character of Brighouse.

Whats is it?

The evening is an action packed evening of racing where spectators can look forward to plenty of entertainment and high drama as some of the country’s top cyclists compete around the streets of Brighouse.

What happens when?

Racing starts at 19.00 with the Senior Race. These are good club riders from local clubs getting the opportunity to ride in front of a large crowd, and provides a good introduction to cycle racing for the novice spectator.

At 19.50 the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 Juveniles race. It’s a great experience for these youngsters to race in front of a large crowd, on closed roads. The cycle racing community recognise the importance of developing and growing young talent, and this race normally generates the biggest cheers of the night from the spectators.

The exciting climax is at 20.20 featuring the country’s top Elite riders. Last year we had some past and present Olympians riding in the event, and we are hoping for an even stronger field this year.

To round the evening off there is a presentation ceremony for all races at 21.30 approximately. Please stay around to give the riders your appreciation as the winners pop the Champagne!

What does it cost?

Absolutely nothing – the event is sponsored by local companies such as ourselves, and the local council and is free to all spectators

So what’s stopping you coming along to Brighouses’ premier sporting event? Absolutely nothing!
